Main Street Waterbury developed audio tours of architectural sites in the heart of Downtown Waterbury. Our magnificent architecture dates from between the middle of the 19th century to the beginning of the 21st century. The buildings were designed by some of the best architects in the region & the country including Henry Bacon, Architect of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC; McKim, Mead & White, the foremost architectural firm of the late nineteenth century; and Cesar Pelli, a leading architect today. In addition, Waterbury's Municipal complex was designed by Cass Gilbert, architect of the Woolworth Building and the U.S. Supreme Court building. Pick up audio tours and maps at Mattatuck Museum Arts & History Center.
